The ACICC’s main objectives focus on bringing Afghan communities together through social events, celebrations, basic computer skills, Pashto and Dari language classes, Afghan national days, Islamic festivals, and youth events to support young people’s mental health needs. We also support asylum seekers, immigrants, and refugees who need assistance with their cases. Our experienced caseworkers and religious members assist community members in numerous ways. We promote equal participation regardless of language, sexual orientation, tribe, religion, gender, or political opinion. To empower women, we host weekly women’s social gatherings and engagement sessions.

ACICC is an Afghan-led charity organisation in Coventry, aligned with UK charity regulations. Our mission is to connect Afghan people, strengthen communities, and improve lives through cultural celebrations, social events, and community activities. With the support of Afghan citizens and members of the Afghan Relief Fund, we have raised funds to secure property and expand our mission.

Vision

Celebrating Afghan historical events, promoting shared cultural awareness, and removing barriers related to language, background, tribe, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or political opinions.

Mission

Our mission is to connect Coventry citizens, build stronger communities, and enhance lives through cultural celebrations, social events, and activities. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Goal

We work in partnership with charity organisations, Coventry local authorities, volunteer groups, and the Coventry Community Forum (IAG) to accomplish a wide range of charitable objectives aligned with UK charity regulations (OSCR).

Preserving Language

Native language is essential for communication and strengthening identity within the community. Preserving language helps individuals connect with one another, maintain cultural pride, and feel a sense of belonging.

Cultural Awareness

Language preservation supports those who do not speak English by providing interpretation where needed. Afghan young people benefit by staying connected to their cultural roots. It promotes social cohesion, builds social bonds, and preserves values, traditions, and heritage. Our community programs support physical and mental health, especially among young people and failed asylum seekers needing immigration assistance.

We also provide advice on Universal Credit, employment support, CV and cover letter assistance, and opportunities for youth to engage in community events, reducing crime and improving well-being. Women empowerment is an essential part of our mission, promoting fairness and equality in society.
